Château du Plessis

Loire Valley

Le "Château du Plessis" originally built in the 15th century, is surrounded by 19 acres of majestic lawns in the midst of a peaceful wooded park. It was expanded first in the 19th century, and then enlarged, restored and completely renovated in the 21st century.

An unusual blend of qualities make Le Plessis exceptional. The central location in the Loire Valley near Tours, the high-quality of its appointments, the modern conveniences, the scrupulous attention to details, and the superb level of comfort all contribute to the Château's charm.

The château is approached through a majestic wrought iron entry gate opening to a long allée lined with centennial chestnut and linden trees. An elegant terrace wraps around the newly built sunroom with convenient access to the sun drenched terraced swimming pool. The combinations of these elements and myriad of features contribute to a perfect indoor-outdoor living environment for an ideal vacation for families and friends.

Four bedrooms superbly appointed with fine furniture and fabrics, are luxurious and comfortable. An up to date country kitchen with every modern conveniences, formal dining room and living room each with wooden beamed ceilings and massive fire places blend traditional elegance with modern comfort.

Located just south of Tours near the town of Saché favored by Balzac, the Château du Plessis is the perfect home base for a Loire Valley visit of the numerous Royal Renaissance Châteaux, for walking through the forests, for canoeing along the peaceful rivers, for bicycling along un-crowded country roads, for eating in delightful restaurants, and for drinking the superb Loire Valley wines.
